Located in the Phoenix Park in the heart of Dublin city, Dublin Zoo is Ireland’s most popular family attraction, and welcomed over one million visitors last year.

As one of the world’s oldest, yet popular zoos, the 28 hectare park in the heart of Dublin is home to some 400 animals in safe environment where education and conservation combine for an exciting and unforgettable experience!

Located in the Phoenix Park, Dublin 8 it is easy to get to Dublin Zoo. There are a range of easily accessible options to choose from, easily accessible by public transport as well as by car.

LUAS Red Line Dublin Zoo is a 15 minute walk from the Heuston Station stop.

The zoo is open daily from 9:30am all year round, with exception of Christmas Day and St. Stephen’s Day. The last admission to the zoo is one hour before closing time.
